Kosher Bakery-Café Website

Viva La Dough

A playful website for a kosher bakery: scroll and a croissant pizza builds itself, click and mousse cakes pile up.

Overview

Viva La Dough is a French-style kosher bakery with five shops across Brooklyn, Manhattan and Lakewood. Their signature is the Crozza, a croissant pizza, and their mousse cakes are shaped like the fruit they taste like. The old site was a WordPress template that buried both. The new one is built on a simple idea: let people feel the creativity of the food and have fun with the brand.

Live Site

Highlights

  • Build a Crozza. Scroll and the pizza builds itself, layer by layer. Pick a flavor and it builds again with new toppings.
  • Drop a cake. Click the footer and mousse cakes pile up with real physics. Grab one and toss it, or tilt your phone to tip the pile.
  • Spin to win. For the bakery’s anniversary, a prize wheel where every spin wins a free treat or a gift card. The prize lands in your inbox ready to scan at the register, and every player joins the bakery’s mailing list.
  • Two taps to order. Every shop’s pickup and delivery links live in one place, and on phones the order bar never leaves the screen.

Design and Build

Powder blue and pink, cream and navy, a little gold, and the bakery’s own pastry line art as wallpaper. The pages are static and fast, and the menu, shops and catering prices are easy for the bakery to update.

Process

Designed and built solo, using agentic engineering for advanced motion and physics. Waking Creative provided the killer videos and photos, and we worked with the bakery’s team on the menu.
